CPA & Shareholder
Glenda J. Hiers, Shareholder for 37 years, serves as President of the Firm’s board of directors as well as head of the Audit Department. She earned her BBA from SFASU, graduating with high honors in 1975. Glenda joined the firm in 1977 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978.
As a qualified and trained peer reviewer under the AICPA’s Peer Review Program, Glenda performs independent firm on firm peer reviews. She is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA and its East Texas Chapter, and the Government Finance Officer’s Association. In our community, Glenda currently holds the position of treasurer of Crime Stoppers of Lufkin, Inc. and is a founding director of that organization. She has served on the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce board of directors, is a graduate of the Leadership Lufkin Class of 1987, and is a former board member of the Leadership Lufkin Alumni Association. She is a member of the finance team of Carpenter’s Way Church, and serves as pianist for its Praise Team. Glenda and her husband Terry have two children, Tim and Haley.

Starting his accounting career at Alexander, Lankford, and Hiers in January of 1982, Richard serves as the Audit Manager and a Shareholder (since 1986). In May of 1987, Richard became one of the original shareholders of AL&H. He received his BBA from Sam Houston State University in December of 1981, and became a Certified Public Accountant in March of 1984.
Richard is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and the East Texas Chapter of the TSCPA. Throughout the community, he has been involved in the Drug Free Business Partnership of the Coalition. Richard and his wife Karen have two daschunds and two cats. He also has two children, Richard Jr. and Jennifer. In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and going on cruises to different countries.

Yvette Sidnell serves as the Tax & Accounting Services Manager, and has been a member of the AL&H team since November 1994. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2000. Before AL&H, Yvette worked in the accounting department for a company in the offshore pipeline maintenance industry in Lafayette, LA for 2 years, as well as a CPA firm in Nacogdoches for 2 years. Yvette graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with her BBA in Finance and minor in Accounting.
She is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Lufkin, a Member of AICPA, TSCPA and the East Texas Chapter of the TSCPA. In her free time, Yvette enjoys reading, sailing, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer L. Webster, CPA has been a Shareholder at AL&H since 2007. After graduating from SFASU with Honors with her Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Professional Accountancy, she worked at Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Dallas in the state tax divisions.
Jennifer became a Certified Public Accountant in April of 2002, and joined the Alexander, Lankford, & Hiers team in November of that same year. She is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and is a former director of the East Texas Chapter of the TSCPA. Jennifer attends Harmony Hill Baptist Church, is a graduate of Leadership Lufkin, and serves on the board of the Junior League of Lufkin, the Museum of East Texas, the Leadership Lufkin Alumni Advisory Board, Family Crisis Center, and the Pineywoods Cattle Baron‘s Gala. Jennifer and her husband Daniel have 2 sons, Zak and Brock, along with a daughter-in-law, Nicole. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling and going to the theater.

Susan L. Murrell graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in December, 1999 and joined Alexander, Lankford & Hiers, Inc. in January, 2000. She was licensed as a certified public accountant in March, 2009 and serves as an In-Charge Auditor in the audit department. Susan is a Member of AICPA, TSCPA and the East Texas Chapter of the TSCPA.
While attending college, Susan worked for a local public accounting firm. She is an active member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church and volunteers in the children‘s ministry there. She is a graduate of the Leadership Lufkin program. Susan has been married to her husband, Dewayne, since 1999 and they have three children. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
